The research conducted by SAPHIR is supported by an extensive international network of scientific collaboration that connects Chile with some of the world’s most prestigious laboratories, universities, and research centers.
The institute actively participates in international experiments led by CERN, including ATLAS, NA64, SND@LHC and SHiP, in addition to collaborating with institutions in Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America. These partnerships enable researchers, students, and technical staff to participate in cutting-edge scientific projects, access world-class infrastructure, and contribute to the development of new technologies for fundamental research.
Chile's admission as an Associate Member State of CERN marks a new milestone for this collaborative network, expanding opportunities for participation in scientific projects, training programs, international schools, technological development, and academic mobility for the country’s future generations of scientists and engineers.
